Care Instructions

Hand-crafted garments require special care to ensure they remain in good condition. Here are some care instructions to follow:

Wearing:

When you wear a knitwear, you must always keep in mind that it is a delicate fabric, which can be pulled by jewellery, nails, pins, etc.

Cold hand wash:

In general, always wash your hand-crafted garments by hand, using cold water. Hot water can cause the fibers to shrink or felt. Use a detergent or wool wash that is suitable for delicate fabrics. Don't wash our garments if it's not instructed specifically on its label. Use dry clean instead. Never use bleach.

Soak:

When hand-wash is instructed, soak your hand-crocheted clothes in the water and detergent for 10-15 minutes, being careful not to agitate the garment too much. Gently swirl the garment around in the water to remove any dirt or stains.

Rinse:

Rinse the garment thoroughly in cold water to remove all soap or detergent. Squeeze gently to remove excess water, but do not wring the garment, as this can damage the fibers.

Flat dry:

Lay your handmade garments flat on a clean, dry towel or on a drying rack. Do not hang your garment, as this can stretch the fibers out of shape. Reshape the garment as needed while it is drying to ensure it retains its original shape.

No machine or dryer:

Never machine wash or dry your hand-crocheted clothes, as the agitation and heat can damage the fibers and cause the garment to shrink or felt.

Iron & Steam:

The key to caring for your crochetwear is ironing. It smooths down all the fibres that have been given a good ruffle up, and it restores your garment to its silky best. Use corresponding setting on your iron, with plenty of  steam, or use directly the steam machine if you own one.

Store:

Before storing your garments, make sure that they are washed and completely dry. Keep them folded and avoid hanging. If you’re going to store them for longer, keep them in its cotton storage bag.
