The Mosaic Granny Coat is built from individually hand-crocheted granny squares, each carrying its own combination of colour and pattern. Joined together by hand against a deep navy ground, the individual motifs accumulate into a richly textured surface—each square distinct, yet part of a larger composition.

Rather than concealing the traditional language of granny crochet, the design amplifies it through scale. Repeated across the generous length of the coat, a familiar domestic craft becomes graphic, expressive and architectural.

The sleeves shift technique completely. Hand-knitted in a soft, tactile yarn, their continuous surface creates a deliberate contrast with the structured modularity of the crochet body. This meeting of two hand techniques—crochet and knit—gives the garment both its visual tension and its softness.

A fine gold-toned lurex ribbing traces the open front and edges, introducing a subtle line of light against the deep navy and multicoloured composition.

Generous in proportion and fluid in movement, the coat is designed to envelop the body without losing the individuality of its construction. Every square is made separately. Every connection contributes to the final form.
